Because of visitor columnist Paul Roberts for his encouraging, astute and correct evaluation of the hazard we now face, and for his constructive concepts on the best way to enhance the Local weather Dedication Act [“Don’t repeal WA’s Climate Commitment Act; improve it,” Feb. 14, Opinion].
There is no such thing as a doubt about whether or not we’ll swap away from fossil fuels – our very existence requires us to take action. The query is the best way to do it with knowledge and justice. We are able to enhance our transition by offering help to farmers and creating instruments to decrease fuel costs on the pump. I implore the voters to teach yourselves concerning the backward-looking initiative 2117.
A “no” vote is decisive. Let’s not cancel our dedication to our local weather, however enhance it.
