My mom was taken to Auschwitz from the Targu Mures ghetto and my father was taken from the Bungur forest close to Dej in Transylvania. Most of their household of about 30 individuals had been gassed and burned instantly once they arrived there. My bedtime tales had been about how they survived till the liberation by Russian and American forces.
I’m traumatized by the truth that Rabbi Elliot Kukla’s article doesn’t point out the October seventh Hamas bloodbath. Are we as soon as once more threatened with extinction and forbidden to defend ourselves?
