To the editor: I really feel sorry for Yaqeen Baker, a pregnant Palestinian girl who simply needs to stay in peace. (“I am 9 months pregnant and residing in Gaza. Will my child hear my voice or bombs first?” Opinion, Nov. 14)
Nonetheless, she lives within the Gaza Strip, whose authorities, run by Hamas, didn’t depart its neighbors in Israel to stay in peace. As a substitute, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel in a horrific vogue, killing greater than 1,200 Israelis and kidnapping greater than 200 on October 7.
Israel has an obligation to its residents to go after Hamas, as acknowledged by most Western governments. Hamas makes use of its personal civilians as human shields for its terrorist members. Israel can not settle for that method as a cause to not go after Hamas. No nation would.
Israeli residents additionally need to stay with out being continuously attacked by Hamas, Hezbollah or different terrorists.
With Hamas gone – and the earlier the higher – this girl will get her want to stay in peace.

To the editor: I learn with sympathy and disappointment the plight of a Palestinian mom who should be in Gaza. What is going on is actually horrible.
What can be appalling is the plight of Israeli moms who had their very own youngsters taken away from them throughout Hamas’ deliberate terrorist assaults. Whereas we examine “Israel bombing Gaza” in Baker’s piece, we see nothing about why this occurred.
Hamas’ incursion into Israel was fully unprovoked. It was an assault on sleeping households. Mother and father had been murdered in entrance of their youngsters and others had been brutally kidnapped.
The Palestinians are struggling due to Hamas and so are the Israelis. Each components needs to be mentioned and saved. Each.

To the editor: Baker writes his story as if Israel simply determined to begin bombing Gaza on October seventh.
Do the individuals of Gaza even know why that is occurring? Did Hamas not permit that information to be printed? Do they actually not perceive that it was Hamas that set all this in movement?
I am unable to even think about what Baker goes via, however none of this could occur if it wasn’t for Hamas.
I harm for the individuals of Gaza, however when their governing physique’s aim is the destruction of the Jewish individuals and the state of Israel, they should no less than acknowledge how this battle arose.
