The Adaljiza Sosa-Riddell Mentor Award is offered yearly by the APSA Committee on Standing of Latinos y Latinas within the career to acknowledge the exemplary mentoring of Latino y Latina college students and junior school annually. The award is called in honor of Adaljiza Sosa-Riddell, the primary Latina to earn a Ph.D. in political science. APSA was deeply saddened to listen to about Dr. Sosa-Riddell’s passing in August 2023. The Committee on the Standing of Latinos y Latinas intends to honor her legacy and contributions to each the Latino/a neighborhood and the self-discipline as a complete on the 2024 APSA Annual Assembly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Tabitha Bonilla is affiliate professor of human improvement and social coverage and political science (by courtesy).
